All amounts are in NZD. Premium Protection is optional at $35 per calendar hire day, including pickup and return days, capped at $3,500 per booking. It must be selected, paid and confirmed before the hire begins. Paying the hire balance alone does not add Premium Protection.
Essential requires a $7,500 card pre-authorisation at pickup. Premium removes that security bond and reduces customer liability to $0 for covered accidental damage. Premium also includes $0 customer excess for covered windscreen chips or replacement; New Zealand Campervans pays the insurer’s applicable windscreen excess.
Protection options apply to covered accidental damage only and remain subject to the Rental Agreement, policy terms, exclusions and hirer obligations. Excluded damage and other charges remain payable. Ordinary tyre punctures and wear are not covered by Premium; tyre damage may be covered where it forms part of an accepted insured accident.
24/7 roadside assistance: call 0800 888 247 and quote the vehicle registration. Assistance services and additional costs are subject to the provider’s conditions. Fuel, replacement tyres, keys or locksmith work, additional towing, and accident or bogged-vehicle recovery may cost extra. Contact the assistance service first.
Customer liability limits, security bonds and protection fees are contractual arrangements with New Zealand Campervans and are separate from our insurer’s policy excess. Personal belongings are not covered by our campervan policy; we recommend separate travel insurance. Existing confirmed bookings retain their agreed terms unless a change is agreed in writing.

A 25% deposit is payable within 48 hours to secure your direct booking. The remaining balance is due exactly 45 days before pickup; your confirmation will show the calendar due date.
