How do I pay?

Once your campervan booking is confirmed, we will send you payment details for your deposit. The balance is due 45 days before pickup.
 
Payments are usually made by card or bank transfer.

Can I pay by bank transfer?

Yes. Bank transfer is usually available for campervan hire payments. If you are booking from overseas, we can let you know the best payment option for your booking so the process is simple and clear.

Can I pay by cash?

No, we do not usually accept cash payments for campervan hire. For security and booking records, payments need to be made by approved electronic payment methods such as card or bank transfer.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy depends on how close the cancellation is to your pickup date. The confirmed terms will be provided before you pay your deposit.

As a guide, cancellation fees usually increase as the pickup date gets closer because the campervan has been held for your booking and may be difficult to rebook at short notice.

  • More than 61 days before pickup: 10% of the total booking cost
  • 60 to 31 days before pickup: 25% of the total booking cost
  • 30 to 15 days before pickup: 50% of the total booking cost
  • 14 to 7 days before pickup: 75% of the total booking cost
  • 6 days or less before pickup, on the pickup date, or in the case of non-appearance: 100% of the total booking cost

Is there a minimum hire period?

Yes, a minimum hire period applies. This can vary depending on the season, availability and the type of campervan. Peak summer dates usually have a longer minimum hire than quieter travel periods.

When can I pick up and drop off my campervan?

Pick-up and drop-off times are arranged with your booking. We recommend allowing enough time for a proper campervan handover, especially if this is your first time hiring a campervan in New Zealand

What do I need to do before I arrive?

For pick-ups between May and September, we provide a complimentary winter pack to keep you warm and comfortable. This includes extra sleeping bags, a heater for use at powered campsites, and a hot water bottle.

The winter pack must be requested in advance and is only available for bookings during these months each year.
